Franz has embarked upon the quest to recover the Nemesis Crown. Such a
potent talisman from the age of Sigmar can be turned towards good for
the benefit of all, a prize beyond reckoning upon the brow of the Prince
of Altdorf.
When news reached the court of Karl Franz that a relic of the age of Sigmar, so powerful that Thorgrim Grudgebearer himself was marching to recover it, he sent out his agents to gather information. News was quickly forthcoming.
A young Captain from the Talabecland Militia claimed to have come to the aid of a beleaguered Dwarf band in the Great Forest. The Dwarfs were ambushed, outnumbered and surrounded by Goblins and all but destroyed before Weimar, the Captain, and his men came to their rescue, and drove the greenskins into the Drakwald. From the surviving Dwarfs, the Captain could glean very little, for they eschewed further assistance and refused to explain their business. Only a single fragment of information held any value, two small words blurted out by an insane member of the Dwarf band — Nemesis Crown.
The Grand Theogonist and the greatest historians of the Empire began to piece together the truth — a legend concerning a relic of incredible power from the age of Sigmar. The Emperor offered his assistance in locating the crown to the Dwarf Ambassadors of the High King, who grimly refused even to acknowledge its existence. When pressed, they simply left Altdorf in the dead of night. Other Dwarfs, those many artisans who make their home in the great city, went from friendly banter to hostile silence when asked of the crown.
The arrogant silence of the Dwarfs worried Karl Franz. Either this artefact was of incalculable power, or it was so dangerous that it needed to be destroyed. He ordered the Reiksmarshal to muster his armies. If proven safe, such a powerful device could be harnessed for the good of the Empire, the master wizards of the Colleges of Magic unlocking its secrets for the betterment of all men.
Within weeks, a vast army was assembled on the plains outside Altdorf. With Kurt Helborg at its head, the army set off towards the Great Forest along the Talabheim Road. Huntsmen and Outriders raced ahead to scout out the terrain while hundreds of regiments tramped the roadways. Above it all soared Karl Franz himself, upon Deathclaw, his Griffon. If the Nemesis Crown is truly lost in the Great Forest, then the Empire will claim it.

Objective - The Nemesis Crown is a relic of the Age of Sigmar, created by the very same Runesmith who crafted Ghal Maraz. The Emperor Karl Franz would use this item for the good of all, and is convinced that he can overcome its ill effects. Every Empire victory brings Karl Franz one step closer to claiming the Nemesis Crown.
